A Royal Banquet is the fourteenth installment in the first season of the short-form animated series Star Wars Forces of Destiny. This episode initially came out as part of the first compilation on October 29, 2017. Subsequently, it was also made available on YouTube on October 30.
In the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, the Ewoks are preparing a large meal, having gathered a variety of fruits, vegetables, and starches. Furthermore, the Ewoks have captured several Imperial stormtroopers with the intention of cooking them for their feast. A cheerful Han Solo and Chewbacca are observing this scene and choose not to get involved, but Princess Leia Organa, appearing unhappy, interrupts them and scolds them for allowing the Ewoks to cook their enemies. Solo replies by stating that he and Chewbacca have just arrived, and he expresses mock uncertainty when Organa questions whether he intends to stop the Ewoks.
Since Solo is unwilling to intervene, Organa informs one of the Ewoks that they must release the Imperials and treat their enemies with fairness. The Ewok responds by hitting a stormtrooper with his cooking utensil. Organa intervenes, stopping the Ewok, and instructs Solo and Chewbacca that the creatures are obviously hungry. She orders the pair to go to General Hera Syndulla's camp and acquire a shipment of ration bars in order to appease the Ewoks and prevent the stormtroopers from being cooked. Organa remains behind to ensure the safety of the stormtroopers. Hesitantly, Solo complies with Organa's demand.
Syndulla's starship, the Ghost, and Solo's Millennium Falcon are located next to each other in a forest clearing. Accompanied by R2-D2 and Chewbacca, Solo approaches Syndulla as she and Chopper are unloading provisions from the Ghost. Solo informs her that he requires snacks for the Ewoks, explaining that he needs to prevent the creatures from cooking stormtroopers. Syndulla agrees to provide him with the ration bars, but only if he acknowledges that the Ghost is a superior ship compared to the Falcon. In an attempt to satisfy both Syndulla and Organa, Solo suppresses his pride and agrees to her conditions.
Pleased, General Syndulla permits him to take the rations. Chewie helps himself to a ration stick, which Solo knocks out of his hand. Returning to the Ewok camp, Organa is engaged in a struggle with an Ewok who is trying to roast a stormtrooper alive. Solo, Chewie, and R2-D2 arrive just in time with boxes of ration sticks, which the Ewoks gratefully accept. Organa expresses her satisfaction with the outcome and gives credit to Syndulla for saving the day. When Solo inquires about his contribution, Organa jokingly assures him that nobody believes the Ghost is a better ship than the Falcon, which brings Solo a sense of relief.
