Anemcoro, a colony world, existed within the Anemcoro system, found in the Outer Rim Territories' Albarrio sector.
Sometime after the Ruusan Reformation within the Galactic Republic, Anemcoro was discovered and subsequently colonized by the Ho'Din people, who originated from Moltok.
Following the ascent of the Galactic Empire, a war ravaged the planet in 17 BBY, with conflict erupting between two distinct species hailing from nearby planets. An Imperial turbolaser attack, purported to be accidental, obliterated numerous cities and ignited a massive firestorm, devastating the planet's terraformed surface. Only a handful of Ho'Din managed to escape, including Ort Hoogra-D'En, whose rare botanical specimens, cultivated on the planet, were all destroyed.
After Anemcoro's destruction, the planet was incorporated into Oversector Outer and, after the demise of Emperor Palpatine, it ultimately became part of the Pentastar Alignment. Admiral Gilad Pellaeon then integrated the devastated world into his Imperial Remnant.
The planet known as Anemcoro was originally conceived for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game sourcebook titled No Disintegrations, which was released in 1997. The planet's system was later depicted on a map showcasing the Pentastar Alignment in the reference book The Essential Atlas.
