Angor

Angor served as a commandant within the Corulag Military Academy. This academy was an Imperial Academy operated by the Galactic Empire and situated on Corulag, a planet located in the Core Worlds. The academy had a practice of pairing training instructors based on how well their skills complemented each other. Therefore, Angor was partnered with Commandant Bedgar. Angor's powerful combat strategy classes, when combined with Bedgar's lessons on the complexities of military administration, aimed to develop well-rounded officers prepared for both the battlefield and the bureaucratic demands of their roles. A document detailing their curriculum, entitled Combined Officer's Curriculum 27, was archived in the "Corulag Imperial Military Academy" section of the [Imperial Archives](/article/imperial_archives]. The historian Beaumont Kin referenced Angor in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was published in 35 ABY.

Behind the scenes

The character Angor was originally mentioned within Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, a reference book from 2024 authored by Dr. Chris Kempshall. The name of this character was chosen as a reference to YouTuber Tom Clark, who uses the username Angor in Minecraft. Clark collaborates with fellow YouTuber Ben Edgar, whose name served as the inspiration for Bedgar's name. The pair have expressed interest in potentially cosplaying as the two commandants sometime in the future.
