Antron Bach

Antron Bach was a human male who made his living as an antiques dealer, with a particular focus on artifacts connected to the Jedi. Over the course of many years, he cultivated friendships with various members of the Jedi Order. During the tragic events of the Great Jedi Purge, a Master by the name of Uvell requested his assistance in safeguarding the Order's legacy. Uvell entrusted him with a ship, which they filled with every artifact they could gather, and dispatched Bach to a moon that once housed a Geonosian settlement.

Some years later, while attempting to deliver a warning to the Corellian Resistance about an impending crackdown, Miru Nadrinakar's starfighter suffered a crash landing on the moon where he resided. Antron created a diversion, allowing her to flee from the pursuing Imperial forces by using his own starship.

Biography

Antron Bach, a male human, plied his trade as an antiques dealer during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. Throughout his career as a dealer, he developed friendships with numerous members of the Jedi Order, often sharing tea with them to secure better deals. He also associated with smugglers, academics, and archaeologists, enjoying drinks and laughter with them in the cantinas of the planet Coruscant. With the conclusion of the Clone Wars between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and the subsequent betrayal and widespread killing of the Jedi Order, Jedi Master Uvell enlisted Bach's help in preserving a collection of significant Jedi artifacts. The Jedi Master filled a starship with items of historical value, including lightsabers and scrolls, and instructed the dealer to seek refuge in an abandoned Geonosian colony located on a nameless moon. Bach followed Uvell's instructions and went into hiding on this moon, where he occasionally had to conceal himself from Imperial patrols by securing his home and remaining hidden until they passed.

During the Imperial Era, Bach's solitary existence was disrupted when Miru Nadrinakar, a member of the Corellian Resistance, experienced a crash landing near his dwelling. Approximately an hour after her damaged starfighter flew over his mesa, Bach ventured out to the crash site to check for survivors. Upon arriving, he discovered the injured Nadrinakar, who surprisingly addressed Bach by name and requested weapons and transportation. However, before they could continue their conversation, three Imperial TIE/ln space superiority starfighters appeared overhead, searching for Nadrinakar, prompting the pair to seek shelter at Bach's mesa as the TIEs began bombing the crash site behind them.

Once inside, Bach shared his past with the pilot, explaining his responsibility to protect the artifacts for future generations, and expressing concerns that providing her with a ship would endanger their safety by attracting Imperial attention to the colony. Nadrinakar clarified that she needed to reach the planet Corellia to warn her fellow resistance fighters about an impending attack, but Bach remained hesitant to assist her. Despite their disagreement, they agreed to cooperate to evade detection by the Imperials. Bach guided Nadrinakar through the colony towards the power generator, which they needed to disable to avoid being detected by the sensors of an Imperial frigate in the system.

To reach the generator, they had to venture outside the colony's tunnel systems, and as they cautiously moved around the mesa, Bach began humming the Song of Lojuun, an old Bith opera melody, which brought a smile to his companion's face. Nadrinakar then noticed a group of three stormtroopers and an Imperial officer ahead and pushed Bach to the ground, taking cover alongside him. She insisted on devising a new plan, as the Imperials were positioned atop the hatch leading to the generator room, but the elderly antiques dealer insisted on sticking to their original plan of shutting down the generator and boldly approached the Imperials in an attempt to mislead them. Bach attempted to convince the group that the pilot from the crashed fighter had attacked him and fled, hoping to divert the search away from the mesa. The Imperials ordered him to kneel, but before they could harm him, Nadrinakar opened fire, eliminating all four of them.

Alerted to their location, the Imperials began bombing near the mesa as Bach and Nadrinakar hastily retreated through the hatch back into the colony. Once safely underground, the pilot reassessed her priorities and suggested hiding to protect the antiques. Bach, too, experienced a change of heart, deceiving Nadrinakar by telling her that they needed to separate, directing her towards the colony's hangar bay while falsely claiming that she was headed to a backup generator that needed to be deactivated. Once she was gone, he proceeded to the generator room and sealed the hangar doors behind the pilot, preventing her from turning back. He then began working to power up the hangar's exit doors, enabling Nadrinakar to escape in the old ship that Uvell had provided him, and started preparing a series of diversions to help Nadrinakar evade the Imperial frigate and flee the star system.

Personality and traits
