Tea was a popular non-alcoholic drink enjoyed by the inhabitants of Alderaan and the people of Mandalore. A multitude of tea variations existed. One type was crafted using the blossoms from the Cassius tree. Another, called Tarine tea, was offered on planets ranging from Lothal to Christophsis. Gatalenta was well-known for its unique tea. Deychin tea was another variety. Certain teas were consumed warm, while others, like Moogan Tea, were served chilled. A corporate version of Moogan Tea, known as Ardees Beverage, was available in bottles or as a carbonated canned drink. Teahouses were establishments where tea was the primary offering. Sky Graf had fifty-seven percent oxidized green Orsh Mountain tea on the Brightbird, which he offered to Rooper Nitani while on Batuu. During the Clone Wars, smugglers under the leadership of a Moogan named Tee Va arrived in Sundari, the capital city of Mandalore. They distributed Ardees beverage tea that had been mixed with slabin, a dangerous substance. This allowed Tee Va to double his profits, but it resulted in numerous schoolchildren in Sundari becoming sick. However, an investigation led by Satine Kryze, the Duchess of Mandalore, and Padmé Amidala, a Senator from the Galactic Republic, led to the apprehension of Tee Va and his smuggling operation.
