Aramis
Aramis, a human male, was in the service of Duchess Satine Kryze. He met his death when his speeder was sabotaged as part of a plot to assassinate Satine Kryze.
Biography
In the year 21 BBY, Aramis received the assignment to transport Duchess Satine Kryze and three of her protectors away from Coruscant. They had just left a Galactic Senate assembly that had been called to debate whether the Republic should invade Mandalore to confront Death Watch, a group that had been causing terror on Mandalore. Death Watch sabotaged the transport's control systems while it was flying high above the surface. When Kryze inquired about the situation, Aramis explained that it was a problem with the navigation computer. Realizing that there was no longer any possibility of transporting Kryze to her desired destination, Aramis informed her that he would attempt to get close to a landing platform. Upon approaching the landing platform, he instructed Kryze's guards to jump. Aramis remained in the transport, which completely lost control and crashed into a structure, resulting in his death.
Kryze made the Republic aware of the event. The Republic decided against pursuing charges related to Aramis's death, believing it to be merely an accident. However, upon learning about the timing, immediately following the Senate meeting, the Republic conceded that an invasion of Mandalore was necessary. Subsequently, after viewing a hologram of Deputy Minister Jerec, the Republic reversed its decision.
