Are Zero Are Zero, also known as Roro, functioned as a protocol droid. As of 4 ABY, this droid was inoperable and located within the Holowan droid foundry on a planetary planet surface. Sometime between 2 BBY and 4 ABY, Grand-engineer Lony Coleema was abducted by the IG-88 assassin droid known as IG-88B and taken to the foundry. Upon regaining consciousness, Coleema encountered Are Zero Are Zero and proceeded to reprogram the unit. The droid then informed the engineer of their current location after receiving gratitude.
The short story "A Rebel Bounty," featured Are Zero Are Zero; this story was included in the Star Wars Adventures Annual 2020 comic book. Nick Brokenshire both wrote and drew the story, which was released by IDW Publishing on November 18, 2020.
