Arorua was a planet covered in jungle, serving as the homeworld for dangerous creatures spawned by Sith sorcery, for example, the squollyhawlk and silan.
Following an invasion by the Rakata species' Infinite Empire and a civil war on Korriban, their homeworld, around 27,700 BBY, surviving Sith colonized Arorua using Rakatan vessels, integrating the world into the ancient Sith Empire. Through Sith sorcery, the Sith brought into being monsters, like the silan and the squollyhawlk. The Jen'jidai Sorzus Syn later documented the planet in her chronicle, which Darth Sidious later added to his Book of Sith.
In 44 BBY, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi journeyed to Arorua, where Obi-Wan almost met his end at the hands of a native squollyhawlk. They also encountered a Moggonite by the name of Mosko Bolpa, and eliminated an old silan.
In the comic, the name "Arorua" is easily mistaken for "Arorlia" because the "U" looks like "LI" due to the font. The Official Star Wars Fact File made this error and called the planet Arorlia; The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia later fixed it; however, the entry for the Moggonite species still contains the mistake.
