Artorias resistance

During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Caled Galfridian, the Artorian king, established a clandestine facility at the bottom of the Great Sea of Artorias. This base was intended as a defense against a potential assault by the Empire. However, the conflict concluded before the base was ever utilized.

In the year 25 ABY, the Yuuzhan Vong, an extra-galactic species, launched an attack on the planet. Artorias was caught off guard and swiftly defeated. Many Artorians were either killed or captured by the Yuuzhan Vong, while the New Republic was able to evacuate a significant number of others. King Galfridian, refusing to abandon his world, chose to remain behind with a small contingent. Among this group was Dulac, who was wounded and taken prisoner before they could reach their hidden sanctuary.

Operating from their secret base, the Artorias resistance disrupted the Vongforming process of the planet. They achieved this by destroying Yuuzhan Vong structures and eliminating numerous Yuuzhan Vong sentries in the process. Despite the Yuuzhan Vong's extensive search efforts, they were unable to stop the resistance's attacks. To replace the fallen sentries and guards, replacements were dispatched from the slaveship known as the Tsam P'ah, which subsequently triggered an uprising on board the vessel. Simultaneously, the resistance group succeeded in freeing Dulac and bringing him back to their hidden base.

In the meantime, Finn Galfridian discovered that Dulac was, in reality, a Yuuzhan Vong disguised using an ooglith masquer and hurried back to Artorias. Unfortunately, he arrived too late, as Dulac had already revealed his true identity to the king and launched an attack.
