Atlantis

A location once visited by the Doctor and Indiana Jones was Atlantis. While on the planet Earth, Jones, while investigating the wreckage of a YT-1300 light freighter known as the Millennium Falcon, remarked to his companion Short Round that even Atlantis was not comparable to what he was witnessing.

Behind the scenes

Indiana Jones explored Atlantis in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

In Star Wars Tales' nineteenth issue, published by Dark Horse Comics on May 14, 2004, Atlantis was referenced in the non-canon comic "Into the Great Unknown," authored by Haden Blackman. This comic depicted a crossover with the Indiana Jones franchise, where the titular character had previously explored the fabled lost city of Atlantis in the Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis comic series by Dark Horse Comics, the first issue of which debuted on March 1, 1991. This series was an adaptation of the 1992 LucasArts video game of the same name. Prior to the release of the game, a preview for it, which mentioned Atlantis, was included in the third issue of The Adventurer, a LucasArts magazine released in Fall 1991. In reality, Atlantis is a mythical island that sunk into the ocean, as described in the writings of Plato, an Ancient Greek philosopher.
