Atrivis was a planetary body, found within the Generis system, which itself was situated in the Outer Rim sector known by the same name. This planet saw action when Homack, a pilot who flew a starfighter for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, was shot down above it, leading to a pursuit by Imperial Storm commandos.
Found in the Generis system, Atrivis existed as a planet within the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
During the time of the Galactic Civil War, a conflict took place above Atrivis involving the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. Homack, a pilot fighting for the Rebellion, was shot down during this battle while piloting his X-wing starfighter, resulting in a crash landing on the planet. Pursuing him were Storm commandos, who were specialized stormtrooper units trained in commando operations. However, Homack successfully avoided capture thanks to a Scout Armor suit made by Creshaldyne Industries. This suit, stored in his starfighter's emergency kit, could mimic the surrounding environment through a small holographic field, allowing him to evade capture and ultimately steal a ship to escape Atrivis.
Atrivis received a mention in Gundark's Fantastic Technology: Personal Gear (1997), specifically within an in-universe message board post authored by Homack. While "Atrivis" originally only referred to a system and sector in Star Wars canon, this reference clearly implies the existence of a planet. This interpretation is supported by the later novel The Cestus Deception, which mentions the planet Atrivis 7.
In an earlier sourcebook from West End Games, The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook (1990), a battle fought by the Alliance in the Atrivis sector is mentioned. Given the frequent cross-referencing found in West End Games products, it is probable that Homack's crash was a direct consequence of this battle.
