During the Imperial Era's initial period, the Eleventh Brother launched an assault on a farm village following an intelligence report indicating a Jedi's presence. The Jedi in question was none other than Ahsoka Tano, a former Padawan, who had been living in the village under the alias "Ashla," working among the locals. Tano had kept her real identity a secret until she employed her Force powers to prevent another worker from being crushed under a cascade of hay bales. Although she tried to remain hidden, the woman Tano rescued noticed her abilities and, filled with gratitude, approached Tano later that night, vowing to protect her secret, even as Tano denied any special abilities. However, the worker's brother, a supporter of the Galactic Empire, overheard their conversation. Seeking a reward for his allegiance, he reported Tano to the Empire the next day, while his sister and Tano were out delivering the harvest.
Upon arriving at the village, the Eleventh Brother, finding no Jedi immediately visible, proceeded to destroy the settlement, killing all of its residents except for the brother who reported Tano and an old man, as the Inquisitor believed he had been given false information. Tano and the sister returned to find their village engulfed in flames, and despite his betrayal, Tano intervened to save the brother from the Inquisitor's deadly "reward" before confronting the dark sider himself. The Inquisitor recognized Tano, expressing surprise that she was alive and declaring that he would be rewarded for her death. However, Tano swiftly disarmed the Inquisitor and then killed him using his own lightsaber. In the aftermath of this encounter, Tano used a comlink that she had received from Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa to request transport for herself and the survivors, enabling them to begin new lives elsewhere, while she accepted Organa's offer to join the resistance against the Empire.
