Avers, a Human male, fought for the Balmorran resistance in the Galactic War. This conflict pitted the Galactic Republic against the reconstituted Sith Empire. He was a staunch enemy of the Empire and a dedicated patriot of his planet, Balmorra, during the Imperial occupation. He received orders to support the Jedi Order in their mission to recover a prototype cloaking device. However, Avers, along with his commander Nikollan Kord, plotted to double-cross the Republic and abscond with the cloaking device.
