A clash occurred on the planet of Commenor in 3962 BBY, a component of the Mandalorian Wars, which was a war fought between the Galactic Republic versus the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. In that year, the Mandalorians launched an offensive, known as "Mandalorian Triumph," aiming to seize control of the Core World of Duro. This offensive involved two forces heading Coreward; one originated from Mandalorian territory, conquering several worlds before it passed through the Zel system on its way to Commenor. After the Mandalorians triumphed over a Republic force stationed on Commenor and seized the world, they moved on to the Quellor system, then to the Exodeen system, ultimately taking Duro.
The conflict was mentioned in The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, and authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace. The Commenor system was indicated on the galactic map, marking it as one of the systems that were sites of battles during the Mandalorian Wars. Later, in 2012, the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart specified that this battle unfolded on the planet Commenor.
