The ultimate result of the Battle of Raquish was the rise of anti-Republic feelings among the Aqualish population of the planet Ando.
The Andoan Wars involved the Spiverelda, a collection of worlds colonized by the sentient Aqualish species and under the influence of their Mid Rim homeworld, Ando, against the fifteen planets settled by Aqualish known as the Andoan Free Colonies. Beginning in 57 BBY, the wars included battles at Arbular and Horos, where Spiverelda forces, under the command of Harch and led by military figure Trench, were victorious over the Free Colonies.
In 39 BBY, these two sides clashed once more in the Battle of Raquish, named after the Raquish system. The Galactic Republic's efforts to demilitarize the Aqualish contributed to the conflict. Trench again commanded the Spiverelda forces at Raquish, utilizing ruthless tactics. The bloody engagement involved significant firepower and concluded with a Spiverelda victory, bringing the Andoan Wars to an end.
The Republic's intervention, prompted by the Battle of Raquish, led to the separation of the two factions. As a result, the Free Colonies were spared, and the Lambda sector underwent demilitarization. The Treaty of Raquish, part of the Republic's intervention, restricted the Free Colonies' military activities.
The Aqualish of Ando and Trench were both radicalized by what they perceived as the effective nullification of their victory at Raquish, which led to the establishment of the Raquish Thoroughfare, a major road in Quantill City, Ando's largest city and capital. In 13:2:28, Ando eagerly seceded from the Republic, and during the subsequent Clone Wars, Trench served the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Republic's adversary. The CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News reported on Ando's secession, noting the Battle of Raquish.
