A conflict took place on the planet Thanos in 8.5 ABY between the Greater Maldrood, led by the Warlord Treuten Teradoc, and the New Republic forces, commanded by Admiral Ackbar. Following Teradoc's attempt to seize some of Zsinj's territory, Ackbar's fleet forced Teradoc into a defensive position, pushing him back. Ackbar achieved a decisive victory over Teradoc at Thanos, which in the end, caused Teradoc's aspirations of being a warlord in the Mid Rim to fall apart.
