A small-scale engagement took place on Yaga Minor in the year 28 ABY, amidst the larger conflict of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Subsequent to the Imperial Remnant's decisive victory against the Yuuzhan Vong fleet commanded by B'shith Vorrik during the Battle of Borosk, Vorrik retreated with his surviving ships to Yaga Minor.
Before the engagement at Borosk and after the Yuuzhan Vong achieved victory in the Battle of Bastion, the Imperial fleet had retreated to Yaga Minor; it also housed the primary Imperial shipbuilding facilities. Vorrik's intention was to obliterate these shipyards, thereby both incapacitating the Imperial Remnant and avenging his previous loss to what he perceived as a weakened adversary. The local Sector Fleet, under the command of Moff Kurlen Flennic of Yaga Minor, successfully resisted Vorrik's assault. As Imperial reinforcements from Borosk approached, Vorrik opted to avoid another confrontation. He then withdrew towards the main Yuuzhan Vong forces situated near the Galactic Core, effectively removing the last Yuuzhan Vong presence from the Remnant's territory.
During this time, a group of Vong infiltrators gained entry to a laboratory, where they discovered the Remnant's experiments involving Bafforr tree pollen. Simultaneously, Lumiya's Sith forces arrived, their objective being to acquire the same pollen.
