A mother, who was a female human, was the parent of Beilert Valance. She resided with Valance, along with his father, on the planet of Chorin. On Chorin, Valance's parents were employed as miners. On one occasion, after his toy Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter sustained damage, Valance's mother repaired it. However, Valance's father cautioned against this, believing it would only instill dreams in him when his fate was to be a miner. Valance's mother then admonished the boy's father to cease being a blurrg in the mud and allow their son to experience a childhood.
The initial appearance of Beilert Valance's mother was in flashback sequences within the thirty-fourth issue of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, a comic series from 2020. Ethan Sacks penned the issue, while Paolo Villanelli provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics released it on May 17, 2022. Before the comic's launch, StarWars.com unveiled the character in a preview article concerning the issue, which was made available on May 9 of that same year.
