The planet Dalna, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, was a geologically recent and volatile world where the significant tectonic structure known as the Bensha Fault was present. The Maawat Juncture marked one extremity of this fault. In the year 230 BBY, Dr. Zadina Mkampa, the Nihil's specialist in weaponry, strategically positioned potent explosives inside the Bensha Fault with the intention of instigating a planet-engulfing disaster. Although Dalna suffered immense damage from volcanic activity and earthquakes, the Galactic Republic along with the Jedi Order successfully performed a population evacuate by maneuvering the Starlight Beacon space station to the Dalnan system.
