Beroq 4 existed as the fourth orbital body within its respective star system. An Imperial fuel depot was situated on Beroq 4 during the Imperial Era. Lieutenant Shara Bey, a rebel pilot fighting for the Rebel Alliance's in their conflict against the Empire, executed a raid on this fuel depot as part of Operation: Mynock Bite; this action resulted in Bey achieving the status of triple ace.
Poe Dameron, her son, began his career flying for the New Republic in 30 ABY, a considerable time after Bey's passing in 10 ABY. Dameron, while serving with the New Republic, became aware of his mother's brave actions during her time in the Alliance, particularly her participation in the Beroq 4 raid. In 31 ABY, while on patrol in the Mirrin sector of the Outer Rim's, Dameron reflected upon his life and remembered learning about his mother's attack on the Beroq 4 fuel depot.
Before the Awakening, a young adult anthology penned by Greg Rucka, featured Beroq 4. This book was launched in 2015 as a companion piece to the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens publishing initiative.
