Bin Essada was a Moff within the Galactic Empire, specifically responsible for the Circarpous sector located in the galaxy's Expansion Region; he was identified as male. Following an order from Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin mandating increased output from all regional governors, Essada mandated the complete extraction of all resources from the planet of Mimban. He then dispatched the Imperial Military to guarantee ongoing operations and suppress any resistance on the world.

The people of Mimban opposed this, which led to the outbreak of a war on Mimban. Essada directed the conflict from the security of his offices situated on Gyndine.
