Bink Otauna, a male human, held the rank of lieutenant within the ranks of the Galactic Empire. Han Solo made an attempt to establish a friendly relationship with him and Tag Greenley, but ultimately decided their incompetence made them not worth associating with. Later, Otauna and Greenley were present on Carida during an Imperial tribunal convened to examine Solo's conduct during a raid on Onyx Squadron.

The character of Bink Otauna originated in the Star Wars Infinities comic book series titled Star Wars: Tag & Bink, and was the creation of Kevin Rubio. In a deleted scene from the 2018 movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, Bink was played by Toby Hefferman (alongside Jon Kasdan as Tag). Despite Kasdan's disagreement, the scene they were in was removed from the final cut of the film. They were shown working low-level security positions when Han Solo faced the disciplinary committee at the Carida Academy. Despite the scene's presence from the earliest screenplay, [Ron Howard](/article/ron_howard], the director, was compelled to remove it as it was considered superfluous.
Pablo Hidalgo verified Bink's full name in the 2018 canon reference book, Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide.
The deleted scene from the movie was reinstated in Solo: A Star Wars Story: Expanded Edition by Mur Lafferty, which also provided additional details regarding Solo's previous interactions with the pair.
