Tall, willowy trees featuring pale-blue flowers were known as blueblossom trees. The blueblossom flower and these trees had the same designation. Several blueblossom trees existed in Republic City's hanging gardens alongside a diverse collection of plants in 28 ABY on Hosnian Prime, a planet located in the Core Worlds. While New Republic Senators Ransolm Casterfo and Leia Organa convened in the gardens during that year, they were seated beneath the blueblossom trees, whose leaves made sounds in the breeze.
