Bollin Exotic Animal Emporium

The Bollin Exotic Animal Emporium, situated in Bollin on Cularin, was essentially a zoo. Within its confines resided various dangerous species, notably the sole known rancor kept in captivity within the entire system. Contrary to what its designation as an "emporium" might suggest, the establishment did not trade in animals; rather, it exhibited them. The rancor show was their most popular attraction. Hlisk Squin, the proprietor, collaborated with a pair of animal handlers.

Though his staff remained oblivious, Squin utilized the Emporium as a front for his illicit smuggling ventures. Functioning as an intermediary, he connected pirates operating in the asteroid belt with purchasers of their illicit wares. During the reign of Riboga the Hutt, Squin participated in the slave trade, concealing and transporting slaves within the animal enclosures. Furthermore, several of Squin's rivals vanished, with the implication that they were fed to the menagerie. In 32 BBY, Nirama, Riboga's heir, ensured that an individual responsible for the death of one of his workers met their end within the rancor's enclosure. Vell Narot, a news presenter from CSN, later reported on this demise.
