Boar-wolf

Borras, which are also referred to as boar-wolves, were non-thinking, coarse-haired animals inhabiting Endor, a wooded moon circling the planet of the identical name. These creatures, found on a forested world, possessed bristly backs, bulky fur, hunched shoulders and a pair of tusks, and lacked sentience.

The Ewoks, a species of small, sapient beings indigenous to Endor, would slay boar-wolves to utilize their flesh as food. Ewoks who were successful in hunting boar-wolves and returning with their meat were deemed fortunate. Additionally, certain Ewoks fashioned blades using the fangs of the boar-wolves. Despite the potential threat posed by boar-wolves, the semi-sentient Gorax tamed them, tending to the offspring after eliminating the mother.
