The rescue of prisoner X-6-9-11, also known as Qin, from the New Republic Correctional Transport known as Bothan-5 was the objective of the Bothan-Five incident. This incident involved a team of mercenaries and a bounty hunter under the leadership of Migs Mayfeld. Following the successful extraction of Qin from his cell, the group then attempted to double-cross one of their own, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, by imprisoning him in the very cell they had just vacated, as a result of conflicts that had arisen among them prior to the mission. However, Din successfully broke free and, in turn, locked the three mercenaries who had betrayed him in a cell. Djarin then made his escape from the prison ship with Qin. Subsequently, after Djarin eliminated Q9-0 for attempting to assassinate his ward, Grogu, Djarin brought Qin back to the Roost space station and covertly planted a New Republic tracking beacon, which ultimately led to the station's destruction by the New Republic.
