Brigand

The Brigands, a group of lawless individuals led by Gideon Longspar, conducted raids on the moisture farms located in and around the Garrotine settlement on the planet Beheboth.

History

These Brigands had managed to capture an ethereal being known as the Tirrith. They then coerced this creature into assisting their illicit activities by holding a portion of it captive inside a vacuum bottle. The Brigands threatened to eliminate the captured segment if the free part of the Tirrith disobeyed their directives. The Tirrith was forced to infiltrate the farms' moisture vaporators, where it interacted with the chemicals used for condensation. This interaction resulted in the emission of a harmful gas, which rendered any Humans present unconscious. Following this, the Brigands would freely enter the farms, seize the stored water, and inflict damage on the farms' equipment. These actions resulted in a scarcity of water in the region, which subsequently inflated the price of water on the black market, where the Brigands profited handsomely from their stolen goods.

The largest farm on Beheboth was owned by Darial Anglethorn, who also spearheaded the resistance against the Brigands. However, this resistance proved ineffective because they were unaware of the Tirrith's involvement and lacked the means to stop either it or the outlaws. One evening, the Brigands successfully targeted Anglethorn's farm, stealing her water and abducting Darial herself. Rebel Commander Luke Skywalker was at the farm, assisting Darial in guarding her property, when the assault occurred. He was rendered unconscious, just like the other guards. Upon regaining consciousness, Luke set out to rescue Darial, tracking the Brigands to their base of operations, only to be captured himself. Nevertheless, both Anglethorn and Skywalker soon managed to break free from their confinement and confronted Longspar. They successfully defeated the warlord and liberated the Tirrith from its prison. While attempting to flee the criminals' headquarters, they found themselves surrounded by a contingent of the Brigands. Their only recourse for escape was to unleash a torrent of water from the Brigands' stockpile of stolen water, which swept the gang off their feet.

Once freed, the Tirrith showed its gratitude by seeding the clouds of Beheboth, causing rainfall for the first time in numerous years. This provided the local population with an abundant water supply, eliminating the need for atmospheric moisture farming.
