Gideon Longspar

Gideon Longspar, a warlord and outlaw, brought terror to the moisture farmers of Beheboth in 3 ABY. He and his gang pillaged their farms, stealing every last drop of water to be resold on the black market. The key to Longspar's scheme was his ability to manipulate the Tirrith, a sentient gaseous culture of hive-minded sentient particles. Ultimately, local farmer Darial Anglethorn and her ally Luke Skywalker allied with the Tirrith, seeking vengeance, to bring down Longspar and dismantle his criminal enterprise.

Biography

Luke Skywalker knocks Gideon Longspar out cold.

Before becoming a brigand leader on the planet Beheboth by 3 ABY, Gideon Longspar worked as a first-contact specialist, even encountering Jedi during the Clone Wars. His previous career had ended in failure. Longspar discovered the Tirrith, a unique empathic gaseous culture of hive-minded sentient particles. Recognizing the immense power of united Tirrith, Longspar captured a group, holding them hostage to force the collective's cooperation in his profitable scheme. Beheboth, a desert world suffering from a lack of rain for many years, made water incredibly valuable. Longspar initiated raids on local moisture farms, using the Tirrith to lull defenders to sleep before seizing all the water and selling it at exorbitant prices on the black market.

Longspar and his crew operated from a secluded mountain hideout, successfully robbing numerous farms near the town of Garrotine, pushing many residents to despair. Longspar eventually targeted the largest moisture farm, kidnapping its owner, Darial Anglethorn, who had been instrumental in organizing the farmers' defense. In response, Anglethorn's friend, Luke Skywalker, a Rebel officer stranded on Beheboth due to a damaged starfighter, launched an assault on Longspar's fortress. However, he was captured and imprisoned alongside Anglethorn. A Tirrith, seeking revenge, aided in their escape. When Longspar attempted to stop them using Skywalker's confiscated lightsaber, Skywalker tricked him into destroying the Tirrith's restraining globe, freeing the rest of the culture. Skywalker then knocked Longspar unconscious with a single punch, and Anglethorn destroyed Longspar's water tanks, effectively ending his operation and eliminating his gang's threat.
