Bulcha, alternatively known as Bulcha the Hutt, functioned as a Hutt gangster in Tenoo's sector during the time of the High Republic Era. He had a reputation for being one of the most terrifying criminals in the sector. Bulcha once sought to have a band provide entertainment on his sail barge. He contacted the pirate group known as the Ganguls and proposed a trade: his contingent of heavily armed security droids for the band Feb Rozo and the Sap Tap Trio, whom the Ganguls had taken captive. The exchange was completed successfully, and the Ganguls acquired new droids; however, Feb Rozo and his fellow musicians were soon liberated by Hap and Jedi originating from Tenoo.
Bulcha's skin was characterized by a speckled brown hue, and he had brown eyes. Being a Hutt, Bulcha did not handle the hot desert climate of Yarrum well. He maintained a contingent of guards and security droids on his sail barge, although the droids were later traded for a new band.
