The Buried Treasure represented a bulk freighter in the service of the New Republic. A large portion of the vessel's volume was allocated to the storage of goods; in some of these areas, there was no climate or atmosphere regulation, rendering them unsuitable for habitation by people. Operational centers, residential quarters, a dining area, and a medbay occupied the remaining, smaller segment of the ship, distinct from the cargo holds. Post-Battle of Endor, Caern Adan's team utilized this ship as a research platform focused on Shadow Wing.
