CD-5502 was a First Order stormtrooper, specifically a human. As a member of Wulfgar Kath's squad, CD-5502 was stationed on the Star Destroyer named Penumbra. In 34 ABY, the squad was dispatched to Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, under the command of Lieutenant Wulfgar Kath, with the mission to track down a Resistance operative known by the alias Starling. Donning typical First Order stormtrooper armor, CD-5502 and fellow troopers were on patrol within the market streets when a merchant from the area, named Gol, came to them with information. Gol wanted to report possible Resistance activity, explaining that he believed his former employee had joined their ranks. Despite Lieutenant Kath's skepticism, he instructed CD-5502 to document Gol's description of the employee and to begin a search of the outpost for her.
The character of CD-5502 was featured in the 2019 novel titled Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire, which was authored by Delilah S. Dawson.
