Ceth Laike was a male Human Imperial officer who existed during the period of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Ceth Laike took up residence at the Imperial Military Outpost situated on the planet Talus which is located in the Corellian system.
In the year 1 ABY, a battle transpired on Talus involving the forces of the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. During this clash, a TIE bomber suffered a hit and was brought down by Rebel forces. Luckily, the pilot, a comrade of Ceth Laike, executed a successful crash-landing and subsequently contacted Laike, requesting immediate extraction. The Imperial officer swiftly organized a team of operatives and dispatched them with the mission of rescuing the pilot from his remote location. However, a band of Binayre pirates, in search of valuable components to scavenge, arrived at the crash site before the rescue team. These criminals promptly eliminated the TIE pilot. Subsequently, the Binayres launched an assault on the rescue team, but they were all vanquished in the ensuing conflict. The Imperial operatives later provided a report to Laike. While the officer expressed regret over the loss of his friend, he identified an opportunity to eradicate the criminal presence that plagued the region. As stipulated in his directives, any assault on Imperial personnel granted him the authority to implement any actions he deemed essential to safeguard his troops. Consequently, Ceth Laike issued orders for strikes against criminals and pirates operating within the Corellian system. The Imperial operatives launched an assault on a Binayre encampment on Talus, resulting in the deaths of 15 pirates. They also successfully neutralized a group of Flails on Corellia. Ultimately, Imperial pilots engaged a squadron of Binayre starfighters in Corellian airspace. All pirate ships were obliterated, and the Binayre leader known as "Black Jack" MacDougal met his end during the engagement.
Ceth Laike functioned as a non-player character within the video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided from 2003, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game existed before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Ceth Laike's inclusion in the game occurred with the release of Publish 14.1, on March 24, 2005.
