Chagar IX, also referred to as Chagar, existed as a planet situated within the Outer Rim Territories. This planet served as the native world for stormtrooper Sergeant Kreel. During Kreel's younger years, it came under the dominion of the Galactic Empire.
The essence of Chagar IX's society was largely defined by its fighting pits. These pits were venues where those lacking the financial means to secure seating were compelled to engage in combat as gladiators. Numerous people met their death within the arena, including both Kreel's father and mother, as well as a multitude of his associates. Kreel himself managed to survive until stormtroopers belonging to the Galactic Empire's 501st Legion landed on Chagar IX. The Empire swiftly overthrew the pit's ruling figures within a single day. Subsequently, they shut down the arenas and provided employment opportunities for the inhabitants. Eventually, Kreel enlisted in the Imperial Academy and became a member of the Stormtrooper Corps.
