The native language spoken by the sentient Chagrian species was known as Chagri. This agreeable tongue was not often encountered beyond the borders of the Chagrian homeworld of Champala, because Chagrians who ventured into space found it simple to master Galactic Basic Standard.
The current Star Wars canon made reference to Chagri in Lead by Example, a 2016 Star Wars Roleplaying addition released by Fantasy Flight Games. Previously, the language had its genesis within the Star Wars Legends continuity, initially appearing in the Alien Anthology, a 2001 roleplaying addition for Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast.
