Chirita

Chirita, a female Ewok, resided within the Bright Tree Village situated on the Forest Moon of Endor. During the events of 3 ABY, she took part in the struggle against the droids belonging to the Imperial Doctor named Raygar; however, she was ultimately bested by them.

In the Ewok Warrior Games, Chirita emerged victorious against the Ewok Weechee Warrick in a wrestling match. Following this, the young Wicket Warrick, harboring affection for Chirita, made an attempt to converse with her and suggested a canoe excursion for the two of them. Chirita, however, did not reciprocate his feelings.

An Ewok wokling by the name of Malani, who herself had a crush on Wicket, hatched a scheme to deceive him into perceiving her as a warrior girl akin to Chirita. This plan backfired, resulting in Malani clinging to a tree for her life. Chirita ultimately rescued her. Later that day, Wicket approached Chirita, inquiring about the canoe trip they had previously discussed. Nevertheless, Chirita chose to go with Weechee instead.

Biography

Life in the Ewok village

Chirita fell on the floor.

Born in 19 BBY, Chirita was a female Ewok member of the Ewok tribe. In 3 ABY, she was present at the Bright Tree Fête carnival held on the Forest Moon of Endor. Alongside fellow Ewok Asha, she stood behind the adult Ewok Paploo as he attempted to break a circular object by using a hammer to launch a piece of wood into the air. The attempt proved successful.

During a battle in the Bright Tree Village on Endor, Chirita joined a group of Ewoks in an attempt to defend their village against the reconnaissance droids deployed by the Imperial Doctor Raygar. Her efforts were in vain, however, and she was sent flying through the air, ultimately landing on a pile of four bags situated on the floor.

Ignoring Wicket's pursuits

As an Ewok warrior, Chirita took part in the Ewok Warrior Games. During the Games, she engaged in a wrestling match with the Ewok Weechee Warrick on a wooden log positioned above a mud pit, with a large crowd watching. She managed to gain the advantage, causing Warrick to fall into the mud while expressing his frustration in Ewokese. Chirita celebrated her victory with an excited cry and performed a backflip onto a patch of grass.

Immediately following her victory, she was approached by the young Ewok Wicket, Weechee's brother. He complimented her performance, and Chirita thanked him. He gave her a trophy, suggesting that she add it to her Belt of Honor. She then promptly walked away from Wicket, who sighed and watched her leave.

Warrick's friends, Latara and Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, accused him of harboring a crush on Chirita, which he quickly denied. The wokling Malani then approached Warrick and handed him a basket of sunberries. Wicket accepted the basket and brought it to Chirita, who gave him a polite smile in response to his offering of the berries.

Rescuing Malani

Malani, who was infatuated with Warrick, devised a plan with her brother, Teebo, to make Warrick believe she was a warrior similar to Chirita. Warrick and Chirita walked past a tree where the plan was unfolding. Just as Warrick inquired about Chirita's interest in canoe rides, Teebo pretended to be stuck in the tree, while Malani climbed a nearby tree with the intention of "saving" him. However, she also became stuck in a tree and found herself in need of rescue.

She slipped from a branch and nearly fell into the mouth of a snake, but Chirita rescued her by swinging in on a vine. She then used her staff to get the snake to bite all three of its heads, and she threw the staff away from the Ewoks. Chirita made sure that Malani was alright. Warrick ran up to praise Chirita's actions. He then attempted to tell her about times when he rescued others, only to be reminded that he had already told her the stories. Malani ran off, upset that Warrick continued to ignore her.

Chirita had a date with Weechee.

Later that day, Warrick approached Chirita, asking if she was ready for their canoe ride, assuming that she had accepted his offer. She apologized, explaining that she already had a date with Weechee—her boyfriend—which Wicket found upsetting. Chirita jokingly assured him that he would find another wokling to go with, and bid him goodbye. In the end, Wicket did go for a short ride with Malani.

Personality and traits

Chirita was quick to defend her village from Doctor Raygar's attack. She consistently rejected Wicket Warrick's advances, not taking him seriously. She also acted swiftly to save Malani from being eaten by a snake. Instead of Wicket, she chose to go on a date with his brother, Weechee. She had grey-and-beige fur.

Skills and abilities

Chirita was a skilled warrior, but she was no match for Raygar's droids. However, she successfully defeated Weechee in wrestling and swung in on a vine to rescue Malani. She was also capable of performing a backflip.

Equipment

Chirita wore an orange cape that covered her head and back. It had a flower on its top. She also wore a Belt of Honor.
