Chokla

Chokla was a female Human who belonged to the Five. This group, a small cult that worshipped evil, made their home in the isolated region of space called the Hellhoop. For centuries, Chokla and the other members of the Five engaged in the torture and killing of anyone who happened to enter the Hellhoop. Most notably, the Five were responsible for capturing and imprisoning Wutzek, who was believed to be the last living Force demon. Sometime between the years of 0 and 3 ABY, Chokla, who had a romantic relationship with her fellow cult member Chell, joined her group in capturing prominent Rebel figures: Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Chewbacca. They intended to kill them for their own enjoyment, as they had done with countless other lost travelers. However, Chewbacca was able to free Wutzek from his confinement. In return, the demon brutally murdered every single member of the Five. Chokla was forced to witness the horrific death of Chell, her lover, before she herself was killed.

Behind the scenes

Chokla made her debut in The Pandora Effect, a comic book story from 1981 that was written by Alan Moore and appeared in The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 151. Adolfo Buylla provided the artwork for Chokla in this story. The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia incorrectly claims that Wutzek (with the misspelling "Wuzzek") only killed four of the Five, sparing Chokla. However, the comic clearly shows Wutzek killing every single member of the group.
