Chomm was a male Weequay who engaged in criminal activities on Tatooine during the era of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. In 3643 BBY, he made an appearance at the cantina owned by Tookreek, a lieutenant working for Diago Hixan's gang. Tookreek's intention was to dispatch Chomm to acquire a krayt dragon fang, an item required by Diago's lieutenants to facilitate a meeting with the crime lord.
Chomm, in a turn of events, tried to intimidate Jedi Knight Nariel Pridence into vacating Tookreek's Cantina, not knowing that she was a Jedi. Ignoring Pridence's efforts to calm the situation, Chomm and his associates launched an assault on her, resulting in them being killed.
