Constructed as an amusement park just outside Keldabe, the capital of Mandalore, the City of Bone later served as the location of an Imperial garrison following the Galactic Empire's ascension and subsequent occupation of Mandalore. Serving as the central base for the Empire's slave and mining activities, it was eventually obliterated in 3 ABY.
An enterprising Mandalorian, believing in the untapped tourist potential of Mandalore, erected a massive replica of a mythosaur skeleton near Keldabe, with the intention of establishing an amusement park around it. The project was ultimately unsuccessful, and the park never opened to the public.
Shortly after the Clone Wars concluded, the Empire arrived on Mandalore to establish a base. The Mandalorians Hayar and Jarkyc convinced the Imperial garrison commander that the structure was an ancient Mandalorian temple of significant spiritual importance to the Mandalorian people. The commander acquired the supposed "temple," believing its occupation would negatively impact the Mandalorian population, and subsequently established the garrison there. Dred Priest, formerly of the Cuy'val Dar serving the Republic's Grand Army and now a member of the radical Death Watch group, helped the Imperials in establishing the garrison at the park.
The Empire maintained control of the structure throughout much of the Galactic Civil War. The Suprema oversaw his slaver operations from the City of Bone. In 3 ABY, it was destroyed by Mandalorian Supercommando Tobbi Dala, who sealed the hangar housing Shrike Squadron, triggering an explosive chain reaction that resulted in his own death.
