Flametrooper clones served as clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic's flame trooper corps.
During the Second Battle of Geonosis, a unit of flame troopers, led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi and Clone Commander Jet, proved to be very successful against the Geonosians.
Clone flametroopers were first issued MK I insulated armor; however, this armor had a significant defect: inadequate respirator filtration. This issue was rapidly addressed with the MK II "Hotspot" Insulated Armor, which they then adopted. Their weapon of choice was the BT X-42 heavy flame projectors.
