The Coduyo kindred represented one of the Great Families within the Chiss Ascendancy, and specifically a Chiss family. They formerly held a position among the Ruling Families. This family controlled a fleet that had existed for many centuries. Coduyo'po'nekri, a Chiss in their middle age, along with their intended spouse Yomie, both belonged to this particular house.
The Coduyo clan maintained alliances with the Xodlak family, another Great Family, and the Irizi family of the Ruling Families.
The novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, which was published in 2021, marked the initial introduction of the Coduyo family. This novel is the second installment in The Ascendancy Trilogy and was authored by Timothy Zahn.
