Colonial Station Camco

Colonial Station Camco, alternatively referred to as Colonial Station Cam'co, was a land-based planet situated within the Chiss Ascendancy's domain, found in the Unknown Regions. The Chiss Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov, who went by the core name "Thalias," came into existence there before her evolution into a sky-walker navigator.

In the year 19 BBY, Thalias embarked on her Trials to attain the status of a Trial-born within the Mitth family. These Trials occurred at the family's homestead located on Csilla, which serves as both the Chiss capital and their original homeworld. At the aforementioned homestead, Thalias' initial Trial involved tracing her life's journey on a mosaic, artistically representing a map of the Ascendancy. Consequently, the Caregiver's initial contact was with the symbol that represented Colonial Station Camco.

Behind the scenes

Within Star Wars canon, the first appearance of Colonial Station Camco was as a mosaic representation in the 2020 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, penned by Timothy Zahn as the inaugural novel of Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy. Its first visual depiction—labeled "Colonial Station Cam'co"—was on a map illustrating the Chiss Ascendancy. This map was offered by publisher Del Rey as an incentive for purchasing the physical, e-book, and Audible audiobook versions of the 2021 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the culminating novel of the Ascendancy Trilogy, also by Zahn.

The Colonial Station Cam'co system was initially presented within the Star Wars Legends narrative. It received a mention in the 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.
