The Command Override Limpet Droid (C.O.L.D.) represents an espionage droid created by the One Sith faction, appearing circa 137 ABY.
Resembling small limpet-like droids, these devices used magnetic adhesion to secure themselves to the exteriors of starships or airspeeders. This attachment granted the user the ability to seize control of the vessel's internal systems. To facilitate movement in space, the droid incorporated a compact propulsion system. It was common practice to utilize several C.O.L.D. units when targeting vessels of shuttle size or larger.
In 137 ABY during the meeting on the Wheel between Captain Mingo Bovark, representing Roan Fel's Imperial forces, and Admiral Gar Stazi of the Galactic Alliance Core Fleet, Jor Torlin deployed six C.O.L.D. droids against Bovark's Nune-class Imperial shuttle. These droids assumed control of the computer systems, enabling Torlin to remotely manipulate the ship's turbolaser batteries and attack Admiral Stazi's flagship.
