The Coruscant Health Office (CHO), which is also known as the Coruscant Health Administration (CHA), the Coruscant Health Authority, or simply Coruscant Health, was an organization operating within the Galactic Republic. This organization held the responsibility of ensuring the health and well-being of the citizens residing on Coruscant. Furthermore, this agency was in charge of the operation and management of various medical centers situated across Coruscant. The Coruscant Health Officials were tasked with issuing warnings, analyzing diseases, implementing quarantine measures, and administering vaccinations.
The establishment of this administration occurred prior to the events of the Clone Wars. As of 22 BBY, the organization was under the leadership of Medxec Harribore Onuta. During this period, an increased prevalence of Brainworm Rot Type A within the Manarai Heights area of Coruscant led the CHA to intensify quarantine protocols and vaccination efforts, particularly targeting travelers entering Coruscant through spaceports like Eastport.
Subsequently, Coruscant Health Officials contributed to a special report concerning death sticks and their growing usage among the youth population of Coruscant.
In 20 BBY, Republic Treasury agent Besany Wennen was engaged in an investigation to determine the source of funding for the Grand Army of the Republic. In an effort to understand the treatment and care provided to wounded clone troopers, she contacted the CHA's policy planning department. From this interaction, she discovered that the CHA's responsibilities were limited to civilian cases, excluding those involving the GAR.
Later on, Wennen initiated an armed standoff at a CHA medical facility in order to prevent the removal of life support from a comatose clone commando, named Fi. She was rescued by Coruscant Security Force Captain Jaller Obrim and other police officers belonging to the CSF Anti-Terrorism Unit. Wennen feared that the CHA administrators might contact her superior, potentially leading to her termination, but Obrim reassured her not to be concerned.
The CHA's logo was visible on the bombs used by Nuvo Vindi to spread the virus within his underground laboratory located on Naboo. The flashing warning signs that activated upon the virus's release also displayed this symbol. Furthermore, the bio-suits worn by Padmé Amidala and Jar Jar Binks featured the symbol on their chest areas.
The emblem of the Coruscant Health Administration made appearances in episodes seventeen and eighteen of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, specifically "Blue Shadow Virus" and "Mystery of a Thousand Moons."
