A Covenant Shadow, also referred to as a Covenant Shadow agent, was a operative working for the Jedi under the banner of the Jedi Covenant, with all records of their existence meticulously purged from all official records. Only a select few within the Jedi Covenant were privy to their identities. Distinct from the Jedi Order, the Covenant Shadows operated on a similar principle to Jedi Shadows, however, these particular agents were assigned the duty of tracking down and securing Sith artifacts. The Epistle of Marka Ragnos, Jori Daragon's amulet, and the Eye of Horak-mul were among the artifacts they managed to obtain. Circa 3963 BBY, Celeste Morne, a Covenant Shadow agent, received orders to locate the Muur Talisman on the planet Taris. The number of Covenant Shadows in existence at this point was at least thirty.
