CT-914 was a clone trooper who fought for the Grand Army of the Republic throughout the Clone Wars. He regarded CT-915, a fellow trooper with whom he'd trained, fought, and lived beside, as his own brother. In 20 BBY, these two troopers found themselves stationed on the planet of Drongar, serving together in the same cohort, as the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems battled for dominance over a rare Drongar medicinal plant called bota. While on Drongar, CT-914 was afflicted by an odd ailment that caused him to lose consciousness every time he attempted to stand. He was subsequently hospitalized in the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7, but the doctors present could not discover a treatment for his condition.
Ultimately, the clone trooper received healing from Barriss Offee, a Jedi Padawan, who utilized the Force to determine that the trooper's ailment stemmed from a brain injury and massaged the affected tissue. As the conflict raged on, CT-915 sustained severe injuries, and Nine-one-four assisted in bringing his comrade to the RMSU. However, the medical staff were unable to save CT-915, and he passed away. Nine-one-four was overwhelmed with grief, but attempted to bear the news of Nine-one-five's demise with composure. CT-914's emotional response to Nine-one-five's death served as a turning point for Doctor Jos Vondar, leading him to reconsider his perceptions of clone troopers, whom he had previously considered to be unthinking, biological automatons. Tragically, CT-914 himself perished in a Confederate ambush shortly thereafter, before Vondar could express his apologies for his former beliefs.
CT-914 was one of numerous clones derived from the bounty hunter Jango Fett on the planet Kamino, intended to serve as clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic. During his training period, CT-914 forged a close bond with fellow trooper CT-915, who had been created from a cloning tank immediately after him. The two clones dedicated all their free time to each other, cultivating a relationship akin to brotherhood. With the onset of the Clone Wars, CT-914 and CT-915 fought side by side throughout the war. In 20 BBY, the pair was deployed to the world of Drongar, where the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems were engaged in combat to secure control over the bota fields, a remarkably valuable plant known for its extraordinary medicinal properties. Upon arriving on Drongar, the two comrades were assigned to the same cohort. CT-914's living quarters were located in barracks CT-Tertium, the largest of the three garrisons comprising Ground Base Seven, situated on the periphery of the Rotfurze Wastes, a region marked by severe ecological devastation.
While stationed on Drongar, CT-914 developed a peculiar illness that triggered the seemingly random dilation of his blood vessels, mirroring a state of profound shock. This resulted in CT-914 experiencing such low blood pressure that any attempt to stand or sit upright rapidly would cause him to lose consciousness, as his brain was not receiving adequate blood flow. CT-914 was admitted to the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7, but the doctors there were unable to pinpoint the cause of the condition, which the local xenobiotic, Ree Ohr, had termed "orthostatic hypotensive syncope of idiopathic origin." Consequently, CT-914 was essentially confined to bed within the RMSU's specialized ward for patients needing constant observation, and the physicians could only administer histaminic retardants to mitigate his blood pressure.

However, CT-914 soon received a visit from Barriss Offee, a Jedi Padawan assigned to the Mobile Surgical Unit. She engaged in conversation with the clone trooper, requesting him to sit up. Upon complying, CT-914 fainted for thirteen seconds. Offee then proposed using the Force to examine the trooper's energy field and identify the source of his ailment. Offee spent an hour deeply connected to the Force, ultimately pinpointing a disruption within CT-914's neural network, concentrated in his hypothalamus; the trooper's hindbrain had sustained some form of damage. Offee proceeded to utilize the Force to heal the injury. Once the procedure concluded and CT-914 attempted to stand, he found himself capable of doing so without any trace of dizziness. Expressing his gratitude to Offee for her assistance, CT-914 resumed his duties.
Later, CT-915 was wounded during combat. Nine-one-four assisted in transporting his comrade to the RMSU, where the surgeons on staff worked tirelessly to save the trooper's life. The following day, CT-914 anxiously awaited news of the operation's outcome outside the surgery room when he encountered Offee. As the two conversed, Doctor Jos Vondar emerged from the surgery and informed CT-914 that his comrade had perished during the procedure. The trooper was overcome with grief, but he endeavored to suppress his emotions. When Vondar noticed Nine-one-four's reaction and inquired whether he had known Nine-one-five, the trooper informed the Doctor that he regarded CT-915 as his brother. This revelation took Vondar completely by surprise, as he had, up until that point, regarded clone troopers as emotionless automatons who were essentially nothing more than the Republic's equivalent of Confederate battle droids. Thanking Vondar for his efforts, CT-914 returned to his unit.
Days later, CT-914 was assigned to waste disposal duties at the RMSU. As he approached the trash receptacle, he encountered Vondar, who inquired about his personal feelings regarding CT-915's death. Nine-one-four was reluctant to discuss the matter, but given that Vondar held a commission as a captain within the Republic Army, and CT-914's training mandated that he answer his superior officers, the trooper told Vondar that he missed his comrade deeply and wholeheartedly, and anticipated that he would continue to miss him until his own death. CT-914 then resumed his task of collecting trash, leaving Vondar to reassess his perceptions of the clone troopers' moral complexity. Shortly thereafter, CT-914's platoon was ambushed by Confederate forces in a guerrilla attack. The majority of the platoon, including CT-914, was killed, and their remains were placed in recycling vats to reclaim their biological components.
Two days after the ambush, Vondar—who had revised his views concerning the value of clone troopers' lives—decided to pay CT-914 a condolence visit, hoping to apologize for his insensitive behavior. Upon discovering that Nine-one-four had joined Nine-one-five in death, Vondar was shocked. The Doctor had come to regard CT-914 as the embodiment of his newfound understanding of the clone troopers' humanity, and the news of CT-914's death affected him almost as profoundly as the news of the death of a close friend.
Mirroring his genetic source, Jango Fett, CT-914 stood at a height of 1.83 meters. While all clone troopers were, in a sense, brothers, being copies of Jango Fett, Nine-one-four considered Nine-one-five to be more of a brother than the rest of his brethren. CT-914 experienced emotional distress due to the loss of his closest friend, but he made a concerted effort to conceal his feelings and accept the news of his death with stoicism. He found Jos Vondar's questioning of his emotions irritating, but his training compelled him to comply and disclose everything to the Doctor. During his period of confinement due to his illness, CT-914 displayed no apparent signs of concern regarding his condition and spoke casually about it with Barriss Offee. CT-914 possessed a degree of humor, responding playfully to Offee's and Vondar's questions during their limited interactions. He expressed surprise that Offee recognized him during their second encounter, having grown accustomed to Republic personnel being unable to differentiate between clone troopers, but Offee explained that each clone trooper possessed a unique presence in the Force.
CT-914 made his debut appearance in MedStar I: Battle Surgeons, a 2004 novel and the initial installment of the MedStar Duology, authored by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry. After being killed off within the same book, he received a mention in the duology's second entry, MedStar II: Jedi Healer. In 2008, CT-914 was granted an entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
