Dalborra

A male Wookiee known as Dalborra existed during the Great Galactic War. He was affiliated with the reconstituted Sith Empire and took on contractual assignments for the Imperial Army.

Biography

Dalborra captures Braden

Dantooine

Dalborra found himself stationed on the planet Dantooine as the Great War neared its conclusion. As the Sith sacked Coruscant near the end of the conflict, Dalborra demonstrated his raw power by ambushing two members of the Republic Military and slamming their heads together with his own two hands. He then acquired a sizable blaster rifle equipped with multiple scopes, taking it for his own use.

During his operations, a bounty hunter by the name of Braden located Dalborra. Braden was determined to collect one of the numerous bounties placed on the Wookiee, despite the ceasefire that had been established between the Republic and the Sith Empire. Braden's client attacked him using concussion missiles when he ignored orders to end his pursuit. Braden survived being knocked off his feet, but Dalborra discovered him while carrying his newly acquired weapon.

Aftermath

Following this, Dalborra escorted Braden onto a Sith warship. This warship was transporting Human prisoners to Korriban. The warship came under attack from a Republic transport ship as it traveled through the Kuat sector within the Core Worlds.

After the ensuing engagement, Jedi Master Dar'Nala was captured and confined on the same vessel, where she was subjected to torture. She aided Dalborra's prisoner, Braden, in his escape after refusing to cooperate with the Sith. Because of her actions and her lack of cooperation, the Sith granted Dalborra permission to execute her; he seemingly did so by electrocution. However, Dalborra was actually under Dar'Nala's influence and only staged her death.

Later, upon the Imperial Transport's arrival on Korriban, Dalborra was refused entry to the planet due to the loss of his prisoner, though he was still assured he would be paid. Shortly after, he narrowly avoided death when the Transport he had arrived on was bombed and destroyed.

He then resumed his pursuit of Braden, eventually tracking him to Coruscant. Braden attempted to reveal the identity of the Sith Lord responsible for ordering the attack on the Envoy, but his efforts only resulted in the deaths of Lesl, the Republic officer who had betrayed him, and Zym, a Kel Dor Jedi Master. Dalborra could only watch as his target escaped in his starship, while the nearby Senate Building sustained damage from a bomb attack.

Return to Dantooine

Dalborra ends the life of Jedi Master Dar'Nala

Subsequently, Dar'Nala, a Jedi Master who had recently been discovered alive, used the Force to bring Dalborra to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. There, Lieutenant Harron Tavus immediately accused Dalborra of being a traitor and held him at gunpoint. Master Dar'nala intervened to calm the situation, explaining to Tavus that Dalborra's mind was being "redirected." The group then engaged in a discussion about how to neutralize the treaty's effects, placing the blame on Darth Baras.

Dalborra later accompanied Master Dar'Nala and Lieutenant Tavus to an ancient crystal cave, also on Dantooine, to confront Lord Baras. The group soon became embroiled in a fierce battle, during which Dalborra engaged two Imperial troopers. Jedi Knight Satele Shan then arrived unexpectedly and was asked by Dar'Nala to assist them in the battle. During the conflict, he struck and killed Dar'Nala before fleeing deeper into the caves.

As Dalborra attempted to escape, Braden finally managed to locate and capture him.

Personality and traits

Dalborra was associated with the Sith Empire, most likely as a mercenary. He is known as the only Wookiee to have sided with the Sith. He wore a helmet and goggles similar to those worn by a podracer. His preferred weapons appeared to be his own hands, a long staff resembling a force pike, and a heavy rifle. He wore a long body holster similar to what Chewbacca would wear thousands of years later, and a sort of backpack with a sensor-like rod protruding from it. Following the battle in the Dantooine caves, Braden killed Dalborra.
