Dao's fleet
During the conflict over Ryloth, specifically the battle that took place there, Admiral Dao led a fleet belonging to the Galactic Republic's Open Circle Armada. This collection of starships functioned as a support fleet bringing aid to the people of Ryloth, and tried to defend the planet. Ryloth had been subjected to a blockade and a ground invasion initiated by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Above Ryloth, the Separatist naval forces engaged Dao's fleet, ultimately obliterating it and resulting in Dao's demise.
Complement
Dao's fleet included, as a minimum, a pair of Venator-class Star Destroyers; these were ultimately obliterated following concentrated fire from the Separatist ships.
