Darrus Alde, a Human male, held the position of head of House Alde on the planet of Alderaan. This occurred centuries following the arrival of Humans on the planet, which took place approximately 27,500 BBY. When the other noble families, engaged in conflict, gathered to fight in a canyon located to the east of the Juran Mountains, Alde intervened. He initiated discussions with the various houses and successfully persuaded them to put an end to their ongoing disputes, thereby averting the battle.
During Alde's time as leader, the structure known as the Elysium was built in the Glarus Valley. This building served as the meeting place for the newly established Alderaanian Parliament. Within the Elysium, the Parliament elected Alde to the position of the first King of Alderaan. In honor of Alde, the canyon where he prevented the battle was named after him, as was the King's Road that connected King's Pass to the Alde estate. Later, his descendants within House Alde took pride in the purity of their bloodline, showcasing a hologram of the king within their estate and maintaining a statue of Darrus in the House Alde Royal Museum.
The initial mention of Darrus Alde can be found within the Codex entries related to King's Pass and House Alde in Star Wars: The Old Republic. This video game, a massively multiplayer online role-playing one, was launched on December 20, 2011 by BioWare alongside LucasArts. Statues and holograms depicting him are present in House Alde's estate.
