Darth Baras wielded a lightsaber with one blade during both the Great Galactic War and the Cold War. Before 3664 BBY during the Great Galactic War, the Sith Lord Darth Baras was challenged to a duel by Jedi Padawan Xerender. Wyellett, Xerender's Jedi Master, joined the conflict and tried to convert Baras to the light side of the Force. Despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful, and while Baras got away, Wyellett successfully took the Sith Lord's lightsaber and used it alongside his own. In 3642 BBY, Baras dispatched his apprentice, the future Emperor's Wrath, to Hoth to find a weapon, which turned out to be Wyelett. Wyelett used his connection to the Force to pinpoint the lightsaber's location. It was recovered before a group of Talz scavengers could buy it.
