Darth Silthar was a Sith Lord belonging to the Human species (of male gender) within the reconstituted Sith Empire.
Silthar, a Human of male sex, rendered service to the Sith Empire during the initial quarter of the Inter-Sith Wars epoch. By the time the Cold War, a period marked by turmoil between the Empire and the Galactic Republic, had arrived, he had demonstrated himself as one of the most formidable Sith Lords and gained the title of Darth. Furthermore, he had successfully mentored his apprentice, Hargrev, elevating him to the status of lordship.
Silthar frequently collaborated with Barden Golah, a captain within the Imperial Reclamation Service. During their partnership, he discovered a forgotten temple located on Ziost and the crystal caves found on Molavar. Circa 3643 BBY on Tatooine, he spearheaded the investigation into the mysteries of the long-abandoned base of Czerka Arms. At one juncture, the Sand People captured him after he had massacred several of them while pursuing the secrets he sought. He was discovered injured inside one of the caves by an Imperial individual, where he subsequently died.
Darth Silthar made his debut in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a MMORPG from 2011 developed by BioWare and LucasArts. The manner of Silthar's demise hinges on the player's decision. Choosing to spare Silthar before obliterating the Sand People mural (thereby leaving him to succumb to his wounds) represents the light side alternative; conversely, the player can opt for the dark side path and personally slay Silthar, followed by the mural's destruction.
